A Little of Everything

This was the day that Daniel went fishing at 3:30 am.
Tucker didn't go. This is his normal routine.
And I am not sure what Tucker was watching before he fell asleep.

Daniel started moving up towards Tucker in his sleep.

Now Tucker became a pillow pet!

You've heard of Where's Waldo? This is Where's Tucker?

I see you!

Peek-a-boo, we lifted the cover to find...Fat Tucker!

Today, we played Monopoly. Daniel won!
(See my new trunk in the background?)

Reilly was thinking of playing but changed her mind.

Almost 10 years old. Where does the time go?

This is the most awesome recipe. I could easily eat twelve muffins.

Amanda's favorite muffin recipe by far!

Blogging

I have noticed that I am blogging less and less. Just an observation. Did you notice?

**************************************************************

This post was written three years ago. Three things are funny/odd about it.

1. It mentions going to Kentucky.

The "girls" are going for a week. Those girls are me and Amanda. Jeannette and Kayla and my Mom and Aunt Virgie. What a road trip this will be.

Daniel and Curtis' week will be filled with tournament baseball and lack of routine, I'm sure.

2. It mentions a muffin recipe.

This morning I made that recipe. It truly is fool proof. I doubled it which is always chancing it. They came out  super yummy. Amanda won't eat bananas or anything with bananas in it. But she eats these. She would NEVER eat oatmeal. She loves these. I think the chocolate chips help!

3. It mentions Daniel's up coming birthday. (He was turning 7!)

This was the last time he had a birthday party. He will be turning 10 on August 9th. I decided to give him a pool party. For the last several years, we are on vacation during his actual day. This year we are in Cooperstown NY, so it will be on the 11th.  Also, two of his good buddies are on vacation at that time as well. But not this year!

Looking back is so bittersweet. He is so little looking in the picture. Time marches on!

Brothers

I am sure Michael isn't happy that this is the photo I chose. I wanted the most recent one and it looks like this is the one. (Christmas 2011).

We don't spend enough time together.

Jeannette and I catch up when we can. And we will vacation together in a few weeks.

We need to be more purposeful with our time. But how can you when you have children in activities? Michael has two very talented boys!

But Michael calls. And he knows just when to call. He reads between the lines of this blog. Sometimes it's quite obvious when I am going through a major struggle. Sometimes I don't even know it until he calls.

Anyway, I love you, brother. I wouldn't have any other. (Ha ha. Is that a bad song?)

A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:35 NIV

Lord, I need you to Steady My Heart.  Lately, I have a lot of doubt. I need to trust you. I feel myself slipping in to that pit of mine. I try to hang on to The Truth but they are just words my lips recite. My heart is so wicked. I need to believe You.

I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.Psalm 119:45 NLT
I saw this on Facebook this morning. It's trust I am struggling with. Then it comes down to whether I trust God or I don't trust God.

NEVER BE AFRAID
TO TRUST AN UNKNOWN FUTURE

Dinner

Daniel caught an 18 inch walleye with his Dad this morning. They left at 3:30 am and were home by 9:30. In total, they caught 12 fish: catfish, rock bass, striped bass and walleye.
